Any chance of you doing some tarting over in Japan. Some wonderfully weird and fascinating trains and people for you to observe and make witty but slightly sarcastic comments about. The Yamanote Line around central Tokyo has to be seen to be believed.

Yep, well done Scott, been great reading about your travels, I loved the Berlin trip, (I know it was a diversion from the Merseyrail network, but love to go there myself), and look forward to more in 2012, I'm really not sure Central has an 'ALF' though........unless you know better. Happy new year! Long may this blog continue. Although could you stop giving so many of your posts names that make my heart briefly drop because I think you've decided to stop updating the site?! "End of the Line", "Bittersweet Goodbye", "Closing Time" and now "The Finish Line" all come to mind! :D
